Garage is an app designed to streamline car maintenance services, offering users a seamless experience for booking appointments, managing services, and finding reliable mechanics. It simplifies the process of vehicle maintenance by connecting customers with technicians for various car-related services. Garage's platform enhances customer convenience with its user-friendly design and comprehensive service offerings.
My Role
UX Designer, responsible for designing the entire experience for customers and technicians on the website and mobile app.
Process
1. Research and Discovery
Conducted a kickoff session with the CEO and CTO to understand business objectives and technical requirements.
Analyzed the detailed SRS (Software Requirements Specification) provided by the CTO.
Researched similar products to optimize the user experience for the booking system, dashboard, and mobile app.
2. Ideation and Wireframing
Designed low-fidelity wireframes to quickly prototype each feature.
Collected feedback from the team, iterating on the designs to enhance the overall flow.
3. Design and Prototyping
Converted wireframes into high-fidelity designs, applying the brand’s color scheme and visual style.
Built the design system incrementally, creating components as needed during the design process.
4. Implementation and Refinement
Delivered features in short sprints due to limited time, ensuring agile delivery.
Worked closely with the team to test and refine each feature, ensuring everything was completed on time.
Challenges and Solutions
Time Constraints: With limited time, I streamlined design flows and focused on iterative testing for faster delivery.
Outcome and Impact
Successfully developed a user-friendly booking system with optimized navigation for both technicians and users.
