My Role
Lead UX Designer, responsible for designing the platform experience and training other designers.
Process
1. Research and Discovery
Conducted a kickoff session to understand the business, goals, and product objectives.
Performed research by meeting potential users (students and instructors) to gather insights into their learning needs and challenges.
Analyzed user feedback to define key features that would solve user problems and meet business objectives.
2. Ideation and Wireframing
Collaborated weekly with the product manager to outline the features for the platform.
Created user flows for essential features, such as student subscriptions and instructor video uploads.
Led the design of low-fidelity wireframes for initial feedback before moving to high-fidelity designs.
3. Design and Prototyping
Developed a small design system incrementally, ensuring consistent UI elements throughout the platform.
Oversaw the creation of high-fidelity prototypes, refining the design based on user and team feedback.
Mentored and provided feedback to a group of UX designers throughout the process.
4. Implementation and Refinement
Successfully launched the platform and worked on enhancing features based on user feedback.
Focused on resolving bugs and implementing additional features post-launch.
Challenges and Solutions
